Scandinavian Living - best product designs

When it comes to Interior Design we have to mention Scandinavian Design. It is like a basis of style and comfort and not by accident one of the strongest trends nowadays. The clean lines, cozy-chic atmosphere, layers of textures, bright colours, wood tones – all these create the perfect match. In the years this style has established its strong character and minimal feeling and remains one of the preferred by clients especially for Residential Design.

That’s why in this blog I would like to present you one of my favourite nordic furniture producers:

1.Carl Hansen & Søn– one of the oldest Danish design companies where you can find real iconic pieces such as Wishbone chair and Elbow chair .

2. Louis Poulsen – lighting design

“Founded in 1874, Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer born out of the Scandinavian design tradition where form follows function. The function and design of our products are tailored to reflect and support the rhythm of natural light. Every detail in the design has a purpose. Every design starts and ends with light.”

These are some examples of timeless design pieces with which you won’t go wrong for sure.

3. Muuto

“Muuto is rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition characterized by enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression. By expanding this heritage with forward-looking materials, techniques and bold creative thinking, our ambition is to deliver new perspectives on Scandinavian design.”

With their products you can add coziness and artistic atmosphere to your home. But what I love the most are the accessories:

4. Gubi – luxurious and elegant touch

“GUBI is a design house renowned for designing, developing and marketing a daring and elegant collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects that resonates across the globe.

Its signature pieces evoke emotion and tell meaningful stories that make them both timeless and enduring. GUBI brings forgotten icons of the past together with tomorrow’s classics. The result is a visionary collection that spans almost 100 years of history and is sold all over the world.”

5. Vitra – of course when we are talking about Nordic style we cannot miss Vitra. This pieces definitely manifest swiss precision and perfection.

The Eames chair –

It becomes revolutionary design not only for it’s beautiful forms and aesthetic, but for the new technology used. It is made of molded plywood, heated, then bent and shaped, and upholstered in leather.

“The iconic Butterfly Stool by the Japanese designer Sori Yanagi is a classic piece of furniture that uniquely combines Eastern forms with the plywood moulding technique developed by Charles and Ray Eames. The gently curving silhouette of the twin seat shells is reminiscent of a butterfly's wings – eternally poised for flight. The stool is made of maple or palisander wood.”
